Vote now in 2013 Readers Poll

By Connie Haas Zuber

We opened voting today for our 2013 Readers Poll — Fort Wayne's Best Bars — and you voted! Thanks a lot.

The early leaders are well ahead of the pack, J.K. O'Donnell's, Henry's, Dash In, the Brass Rail and Calhoun Street Soups, Salads, Spirits. Interestingly they are all downtown.

Today begins our annual presence at the Home & Garden Show at Memorial Coliseum. I know the show has hundreds of booths, hours of entertainment and some impressive expert speakers this year, but please take the time to find the Fort Wayne Monthly booth and say hi to whoever of us is there at that time.

Can I pick 11, please?

Another inspiration strikes

By Connie Haas Zuber

Doesn't this happen to you, too? Work hard on a project, polish it up and look proudly at it.

And then another inspiration strikes. Sigh.

Make Tuesday special

At a farmers market

By Connie Haas Zuber

Did you know there are FIVE farmers markets open tomorrow — which I thought was going to be a perfectly ordinary Tuesday.

Maybe my lesson learned can make your Tuesday better, too. We are at the peak of fresh fruit and vegetable season, and adding a farmers market flair to tomorrow's lunch and dinner is guaranteed to improve the whole day.

By Connie Haas Zuber

We've been dared — by the mayor — and I'm daring everyone, too.
