Did you know there are FIVE farmers markets open tomorrow — which I thought was going to be a perfectly ordinary Tuesday.
Maybe my lesson learned can make your Tuesday better, too. We are at the peak of fresh fruit and vegetable season, and adding a farmers market flair to tomorrow's lunch and dinner is guaranteed to improve the whole day.

The possibilities you might find fresh and healthy at your farmers market include: Apples, beets, blueberries (nearing the end of this glorious season), Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cantaloupe, carrots, eggplant, grapes, hot peppers, mushrooms, onions, peaches (I've had some great ones already this year), plums, potatoes, raspberries, snap beans, summer squash, sweet corn (we like the farm stand on Bass Road), sweet peppers, tomatoes, watermelon and winter squash (sadly for summer produce lovers, fall IS next in line).
